COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Board of Regents is considering tuition increases of between 6 percent and 9 percent for full-time university students in Tennessee. The Business and Finance Committee voted unanimously Thursday to recommend to the full board tuition increases that will result in an average 6 percent revenue increase for five universities and a 7 percent revenue increase at the University of Memphis.
Lester Hudson is going green, literally. With the 58th pick in the 2009 NBA draft the Boston Celtics selected Hudson as their lone pick of the night. Hudson, a two-time All American and two time OVC player of the year is the first Skyhawk to be selected in the NBA draft in the program's history.

Automobile accident takes life of graduate student
UTM graduate student, Lauren Jean Witty, 23, of Memphis passed away Saturday, May 23 from injuries obtained in an automobile accident.
Witty completed her undergraduate degree in 2008, graduating Magna Cum Laude and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.…
