Jason Bourne, please meet Mallory Kane.

Ultimately, there are only two main differences in the plot structure between the Bourne series and Haywire. First, there is only one Haywire movie as opposed to the multiple Bourne movies. Secondly, Mallory Kane is a woman, whereas Jason Bourne is a male, played by Matt Damon. Besides these obvious differences, there is a very similar plot structure with the agent being hunted down by the agent's own government.

Mallory Kane's story begins with her on the run. Her agency has turned against her, and wants her dead.

She finds a man in a coffee shop who, against his will, allows her to borrow his car as means to escape when a former colleague of hers arrives on the scene to take her into custody.

The agency's story is that she has gone rogue, when in reality Mallory's boss has turned against her. Surprisingly enough, you see a love interest between her and her boss, Kenneth, who is played by the ever-talented Ewan McGregor. This connection is referenced throughout the film, but does not play into the betrayal of Mallory.

Mallory's lust for the truth and revenge drives her through various obstacles that she must overcome in order to find all the answers.

Her father is her lifeline. When she gets into something she can't handle, she turns to him for help. Thus, the movie takes a spin to the father, where all secrets will be revealed.

Mallory Kane is played by the sexy Gina Carano. She first came onto the Hollywood scene when she starred in the television show, American Gladiators. Admittedly, her fighting background allowed for some amazing hand-to-hand combat scenes; however, her lack of talent as an actress hurt the overall production of the film.

The movie had its ups and downs, but with its star-studded cast it is at least worthy to pay the admission price. My rating for the film is 3 out of 5 stars.
