SAC hosts annual pool tourney

On Wednesday, Oct. 24^, 2012 at 7 p.m., S.A.C. (Student Activities Council) hosted their annual Pool Tourney in the game room of the Boling University Center.

Students began to pile into the game room at around 6:15 p.m., and registration began at 6:30 p.m.

There was a huge turnout for the event. There were about 60 spectators who either came in support of friends or out of simple curiosity. There were 28 people there to compete in the tournament.

With each round, the results got closer and closer, and tension was high as they competed for the monetary prize. The results were in after two hours of play.

The third place winner, with a prize of $25, was Ali Hassain Almatroed.

The second place winner, with a prize of $50, was Michael Fountain.

The first place winner, with a grand prize of $150 was Asia Cole.

Rumor has it that Cole had been 12 and 1 in previous games of pool that day. After what most people would refer to as a luck streak, Cole became $150 richer by the end of the night.
