More than 350 wind and percussion students from middle and west Tennessee, representing approximately 75 middle and high schools, will participate in the 33rd annual honor band festival, held at UTM on Jan. 24-26.

The three-day festival also includes performances by the UTM chamber ensemble, wind ensemble, jazz band, percussion ensemble and several faculty soloists, as well as special clinics and workshops for attending music directors on Jan. 25.
The 2013 honor band conductors are Dr. John Oelrich, UTM; Dr. Russell Mikkelson, Ohio State University; Dr. Barry Ellis, University of Wisconsin-Platteville; and Susan Waters, Oliver Middle School in Nashville, Tenn.
The honor band performances are scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m., Jan. 26, in the Duncan Ballroom of the Boling University Center. The public is invited to attend.
