With the current budget crisis putting everyone's feet to the fire financially, a review of UTM's faculty and staff salaries has shown a number of discrepancies across various departments.
The faculty and staff salary listing shows that the College of Business and Public Affairs and College of Agriculture and Applied Science warrant a higher overall average of salaries, with wages ranging from $65-110,000 a year.…

Chancellor's task force to slice campus spending
To combat this year's budget shortfall, Chancellor Tom Rakes has appointed a task force of faculty and administrators to cut nearly $1.5 million, $1.1 million of which is slated to be cut from Academic Affairs. UTM plans to expand and renovate five campus buildings within the next three years, according to Student Government Vice President, Eric Lipford.
