UTM is now a more affordable college option for out-of-state residents.
In 2012, UTM began waiving out-of-state tuition for any applicant with an ACT score of 25 or above and a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
The tuition break is valued at about $12,400 per year, and applicants will also be eligible for university scholarships such as the Deans, Chancellors and University Scholars.
Prospective students can apply online and find scholarship information at www.utm.edu. The deadline to apply for scholarships is Feb. 1, 2013.
UTM was founded in 1900 as Hall-Moody Institute and is in the top-tier for southern master’s level universities in the 2013 edition of America’s Best Colleges compiled by U.S.News & World Report. The Princeton Review also lists UTM as “A Best Southeastern College” for 2013.
